As one would expect, the Danish capital of Copenhagen attracts people from all over the world. And with such an open environment and a friendly culture, gay tourists come to Copenhagen for any number of vices. For gays with a bear fetish, Bearserk Bar is a popular cruising and fetish bar. This furry man cave bar throws big parties with international DJs every three months, and offers shirtless bears free drinks for one hour every Wednesday. While Amigo Sauna is a typical gay sauna venue, it also offers a playroom for fetish enthusiasts to indulge their deepest and darkest desires. The sauna facilities at Amigo are actually surprisingly lacking — most of the activity takes place in the dark corridors and in the Jacuzzi.
A few years ago I took the first steps towards moving from Copenhagen to Amsterdam and, among other things, explore the world of kink and fetish. But I do wonder. What did I miss out on in Copenhagen? Is there no fetish scene, as I so stubbornly believed, or did I merely just not know where to look? Danish People are friendly in general, but they can be difficult to approach. A person of fetish, who wants to live it out and be open about it, needs to have the mentality of a rock star: to not care about what others may think. Well, the main agenda behind the organization is to make fetish guys in Copenhagen feel good about whatever fetish they might have, and create opportunities to meet other guys in socially including atmospheres — regardless of the level of experience.
